These Four Dewalt Cordless Tools Belong In Your Shed

Dewalt cordless power tools cross a fine line between being affordable and being dependable. We have been using them on jobsites for years and find they stand the test of time and being thrown off the roof, occasionally.

Never-the-less we take care of our batteries and cordless tools to make sure we can use them for another day. But if your cordless DeWalt tools ever break down you will find they are widely available and will not break your bank account.

1) Dewalt 20 amp cordless drill with 1/2 inch chuck

The upgrade to the 1/2 inch chuck (drill bit size opening) is well worth the extra money on this model as you will soon find yourself in a situation where you need a special bit for a job around the house and you can only find it in a 1/2 inch drill bit size. That is not the best time to buy a new drill.

DeWalt’s 20 amp model is willing to give you a little extra torque when you need it and we find the motor to be powerful until the battery is almost out of charge.

Let’s face it, you are going to need a cordless drill soon.

2) Dewalt 20 amp cordless Multi-Tool

The multi-tool is great to have lying around with a charged battery and has gotten me out of more than one pinch. (sticky situation) You will find a million and one uses for this multi-tool, especially if it is equipped with a bi-metal blade. These are handy for cutting through hidden nails in a stair-case, bathtub removal, countertop and will make light work of your weekend honey-do list. Again, the extra amps with the 20 amp will be helpful around the house. (Honey, do that again!)

3) Dewalt 20 amp cordless Reciprocating Saw (Sawz-All)

These babies live up to their nick-name and again, have gotten me out of plenty of jams. (Sticky situation)

They excel in getting into tight spaces and using their power to saw through just about anything. Wood, plastic, metal, bi-metal and even your cast iron sewer pipe. (stinky situation)

Do yourself a favor while you are at the home improvement store in Portsmouth, NH and pick up an extra 12 inch carbide tipped reciprocating blade. You may be surprised how often you find you need it! (RAWR)

4) Dewalt 20 amp 6 1/2 inch Circular Saw

This tool speaks for itself. You will need a circular saw every day in your travels as a home improvement contractor or do it yourself professional. The cordless version more than pays for itself in the time it saves when you only need to make one cut far away from the truck and there is no place to plug in an extension cord.

We have used the Dewalt 20 amp model circular saws on job sites as our main saw. This is possible with two Dewalt batteries included in the kit, You can saw all day and give the tool a chance to cool off while you run to swap batteries.
